Taking It Further

Sitting here is San Juan, Puerto Rico, four stories above the city, on a splendid balcony at our hotel Da House, and  having finished reading The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss, it has become painfully evident that it is time to really kickstart Port Eighty, inc. This past quarter I wrapped up a defining project for Port Eighty, inc., a complete online media package for MicroMash Bar Review. Between my learnings from this project, and the many suggestions from The Four Hour Work Week…I am confident that 2010 will be Port Eighty, inc’s biggest year since it’s founding in 2006.

Beyond just Port Eighty, inc., I am planning to start my next startup in the first quarter of this year. This startup will be targeting an at creating an automated cash flow that requires minimal work from me once it is started. The new startup  and taking Port Eighty, inc. to the next level will be my first major steps in life style design. Beyond these larger initiatives,  I will be also focusing immediately on removing those sources of static in my life that only stand in the way of the important things in life such as friends and family. It is time to take my career(cash flows?), and the things I love to do with those I love to the next level.

Defining Project

This past quarter I wrapped up completing an online media package for MicroMash Bar Review. This included a redesign of their web site, their blog, and a branded Twitter page. It has truly been on of my favorite projects since starting Port Eighty, Inc. Working with talented marketers to implement their brand’s online strategy was very rewarding. Many of the challenges one encounters working with small business, which has been Port Eighty’s target market since startup, were not an issue at all. After the success I have had with this project, in the coming weeks I will be re-evaluating my marketing strategy for Port Eighty, Inc.
